Sandwich Ice Cream

The iconic Singaporean Ice Cream Sandwich is something different that you may not find in your own country, it’s a brick of ice cream and wrapped up in a slice of bread. There are many different flavours of ice cream to choose from i.e. strawberry, peppermints, chocolate chips, vanilla, mocha and durian. Some vendors will wrap it up with a slice of white bread or rainbow coloured bread (lightly sweetened with pandan flavour) and some may offer wafers. Choice of bread or wafer? It’s entirely up to your preference.

The ice cream sandwich can be easily found along the Orchard Road, from Ion Orchard towards Takashimaya. You may spot more than one vendors selling the ice cream sandwich. Well, which one to go for? After trying the ice cream sandwiches from different vendors, in my opinion, the tastes and flavours are almost the same. However, some would prefer to go for the one with longer queue. For example, the vendor with the Wall’s umbrella. You may also notice some photographs of Asian celebrities that patronised this stall. Well, It is a cheap and refreshing snacks especially under the hot weather. If you happen to be around Orchard Road, give it a try.
