Red Dot Design Museum Singapore was built in 2005, making it the second to open in the world. The first Red Dot Design Museum was founded in Essen, Germany in 1955. The museum has been an international exhibit for award-winning to industrial design works. Red Dot Design Museum Singapore is located in the Marina Bay area, amongst other famous landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands, Helix Bridge and the Esplanade.
The Red Dot Design Museum is elegantly housed in a glass building along the WaterFront Promenade at the Marina Bay area. Learn and enjoy with over 200 design works on exhibition from one of the most prestigious design awards in the world.
Each year, design experts from around the world convene to decide the best product, concept and communication designs to be awarded. Only the best design pass through rigorous adjudication process to receive the coveted Red Dot quality seal – and thus their deserved place in the Red Dot Design Museum.
Explore the Human-Nature exhibition that showcase how human achieve enhanced abilities – with technologies and algorithm to become super humans. The exhibition showcases design works from across disciplines including innovative products, research concepts, communication works and art.
In addition to design exhibitions, the museum features one of the best design shop where carefully curated design objects from around the world. The cafe bar also serves localised desserts, cold cuts, smoked sausages, brewed coffee and bottled beers.
